Ride 2 Boulevardia Ride Marshal (The Six-Pack)

Route

You will be marshalling for The Six-Pack (30 mile) route. If possible, please become familiar with the route before the event (Garmin, MapMyRide). This route will include three rest stops (at approximately 7, 17 and 23 miles). There will be approximately 300 riders on this route.

Arrival & Departure Time

Please arrive at the Start/Finish location by 7:45am to prepare for an 8:45am rollout.

Parking

If you're planning to join us at the festival after the ride, your best parking option is the Crown Center retail parking garage. You can access the parking garage from Grand Boulevard, just south of the main entrance to the Crown Center Shops. Parking will be free and you can leave your vehicle in the garage while you enjoy the festivities. If you won't be joining us at the festival, you can still use the Crown Center parking garage, or there are a limited number of parking spots at the Start/Finish location. Keep in mind that all vehicles must exit this parking lot after the ride.

Responsibilities

Ride marshals will be assigned to a position (lead, main group, sweep). Your main role is to serve as a guide for the riders - keeping them on course, demonstrating and encouraging safe cycling, and alerting them to any issues on the route. You can provide riders with mechanical assistance when possible, but you are not expected to be bike mechanics. All riders will be asked to ride with the necessary items to make their own repairs.

Injury or Emergency

Do not administer first aid unless certified/qualified to do so. In the event of a serious injury or emergency, call 911. Provide the operator with details of the emergency, your location, and any other information requested by the operator. After 911 has been called, call the Ride Marshal Coordinator to inform them of the incident. At the end of the ride, document the incident by completing an Injury Report and submitting it to the Ride Marshal Coordinator.

T-Shirts & Tickets

All ride marshals will receive an official Ride 2 Boulevardia 2022 t-shirt, a General Admission ticket to Boulevardia, and food/beer vouchers redeemable at the festival. All of these items will be provided to you after the ride.
